I have an MSc in Environment and Sustainability and, since graduating in 2020, I’ve worked on various projects within travel, including:

• As Sustainability Editor at Wanderlust Magazine I researched, compiled and wrote the 2025 Travel Green List

• I am the sustainability consultant for Weather2Travel.com and I’ve created and written a bespoke sustainability strand for their website (forthcoming)

• I’ve written commercial content for tour operator Intrepid’s Good Times blog on sustainable tourism themes

• I have a regular Responsible Photography column in The GreenTraveller Magazine and cover topics like how to sensitively photograph people, wildlife and landscapes. I also include tips on photo sharing so you don’t contribute to overtourism at popular hotspots or inadvertently endanger rare wildlife and delicate ecosystems.

• My journalism on environmental, flight-free overlanding, nature and other sustainability-related themes has appeared in The Telegraph, The Guardian, The Independent, The i, Time Out, JRNY / JRNY America, Magazine, Adventure.com, roughguides.com, LoveExploring, Travel Weekly, TGO magazine and others. You can read those stories here.

• I also write a sustainability column for my local paper, the Margate Mercury. It’s more local lifestyle than travel and topics I’ve covered include hairdressing, veg boxes, goldsmith jewellery making, second hand clothing and more.

Services I can offer include:

• Consulting for sustainability communications (written website content, email communications, social media messaging etc.)

• Photography that is undertaken in cooperation and collaboration with the people who live in the places we visit, being sensitive to the needs of the wildlife and landscapes (note: the iguana photographed above is part of a rehabilitation project to save an endangered species)

• Demystifying greenwash and the Green Claims Code so you don’t fall foul of it.
